Tuna Salad with Vegetables and Olives

Today I want to share another proven recipe for a delicious salad that I have been preparing for many years. This tuna salad is light and healthy, but at the same time quite nutritious.

Tuna Salad with Vegetables and Olives

Ingredients:

  • Canned tuna in own juice
  • Chicken eggs (or quail)
  • Tomatoes
  • Lettuce (or iceberg)
  • Olives
  • Red onion
  • Olive oil
  • Dried oregano
  • Ground black pepper

Cooking process

I will not write the exact number of ingredients. You can vary them according to your own taste.

Boil eggs hard boiled. For quail eggs, the cooking time is 2-3 minutes after boiling, and for chicken eggs – 7-8 minutes. Cool down, clean up. Cut into pieces.

Cut the red onion into thin half rings. Drizzle with lemon juice or wine vinegar. Let it marinate for 5 minutes. As a result, the onion acquires a slight sourness and unpleasant bitterness disappears.

Wash lettuce leaves and dry well. Tear with our hands. Put it on a plate.

Wash the tomatoes and cut into wedges. Lay them on top of lettuce leaves. You can lightly mix them with the leaves.

Drain liquid from canned tuna. Add the tuna pieces to the rest of the ingredients.

Add olives, eggs and onions to the salad. Distribute them evenly on a plate.
