Cheese buns with sesame seeds

These cheese buns are a great option for breakfast, snacking or picnic. Buns on this recipe always turn out soft and fragrant. Delicate melting cheese with air dough is a perfect combination.

Cheese buns with sesame seeds

Ingredients:

  • All-purpose flour – 400 grams
  • Milk – 300 ml.
  • Cheese – 150-200 g.
  • Bacon (optional) – 100 grams
  • Dry yeast – 1 tsp
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  • Sesame white for sprinkle
  • Sesame black for sprinkle
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Dried oregano (optional) – 1 tsp

Сooking process

1 Let’s start making the dough. Sift the flour into a bowl. Add yeast, sugar, salt to the flour and mix everything well. Pour milk into the mixture. Knead the dough. We form a ball out of it. The dough should not be too tight and a little sticky.

Lift the dough and grease the bowl with vegetable oil. Put the dough back and cover the bowl with a towel. Then remove the dough to a stand in a warm place for 1.5 hours. I usually put a bowl of dough near the stove and turn on one gas burner to a minimum level.

2 While the dough is on the stand, prepare the filling for our buns. As a filling can be used any cheese or a combination of several types of cheese. I also add bakon or homemade sausage. Rub the cheese on a large grat. Cut the bakon into small pieces.

3 After 1.5 hours, the dough should increase in size several times. The risen dough needs to be kneaded for a couple of minutes until it gathers into a smooth ball. Roll the resulting ball into a layer 3 mm thick.

4 Then put the finished filling on the dough and distribute it evenly throughout its surface. You can sprinkle dry oregano if desired. Now you need to twist the dough with the filling in a roll. The resulting roll is divided into 10-12 parts.

Now you need to form a bun. To do this, on the one hand pinch the edge, the other side leave open.

5 Put the received buns on a baking tray, covered with parchment paper. Grease each bun with an egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Put a baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 С (360 F) degrees for 20-25 minutes. The cheese buns should be well browned.
